Reading: Torment Saint: The Life of Elliott Smith by William Todd Schultz
Just wanted to pop in with a little update as we roll into July.
My poetry collection, Frenetic Lines, is now three weeks old. If you have purchased a copy, please be sure to leave a review.
I am currently reading book four of my 2018 reading challenge of 26 books (one every two weeks). Suffice it to say, I’m a bit behind. If I buckle down and do it, I can still catch up. I just have to do it.
I am writing a lot of poetry, lately. Which is both good and bad. I have another poetry collection scheduled for later this year and need to finish it. But I have a dozen fiction ideas – and one enormous non-fiction idea – bouncing around in my head that also need my attention. One of which I am hoping to develop into a serial for my Patreon subscribers.
Patreon. Let’s talk about that for a minute.
Patreon is a community for artists (like myself) to offer exclusive content to fans (Patrons) who have invested in the artist’s art. For as little as $1 per month, you are granted access to Patron-only content. From blogs to vlogs, advanced previews, unreleased behind-the-scenes glimpses at works in progress. It has proven to be a very successful way for artists to fund their art and I’m hoping that it will be for me, as well.
As an incentive, I am offering an eco-friendly, personalized, handwritten copy of Frenetic Lines to the first person who signs up, at any tier. For nothing more than committing to a $1 per month subscription, one lucky person will receive this very intimate gift.
So… what are you waiting for? Become a Patron, today.
And I think that’s really all there is to report for the time being. Until next time <3
